The Strengths Advantage Worksheet is a focused worksheet that aims your strengths at a specific challenge or goal. Use this to discover practical, often new ways to apply your talents to whatever you’re facing right now.
Your Leadership worksheet helps you put your CliftonStrengths® to work on the heart of leading others: meeting the four needs your followers look to you for. When people feel these needs met, trust grows and so does performance.
What It’s For
Gallup’s research points to four things followers need from a leader: Trust, Compassion, Stability, and Hope. This worksheet helps you consider how your strengths can intentionally provide each one; so your leadership becomes more conscious and more effective.
We might work through it together in a one-on-one conversation, or use it as part of a team exercise. Either way, it’s designed to turn your natural talents into deliberate leadership moves.
The Four Needs You’re Working With
- Trust – How do your strengths help you be consistent, honest, and dependable so people know where they stand with you?
- Compassion – How do your strengths help you show people they matter, that you see them and care about them?
- Stability – How do your strengths help you provide a steady foundation people can count on, especially in uncertain times?
- Hope – How do your strengths help you point people toward a future worth working for?
Getting the Most From It
- Keep your other reports nearby. Your Personal Insights and Brings & Needs reports are full of ideas for how each strength can serve these four needs.
- Let some strengths lead. Not every theme contributes equally to each need; notice which ones naturally build Trust versus those that more easily offer Hope.
- Look for the gaps. If one of the four needs feels harder for you to provide, that’s worth exploring; how can a strength step in to cover it?
Reflect As You Work
As you move through the worksheet, consider:
- Which of the four needs do you provide most naturally, and which take more intention?
- How can each of your strengths help you deliver Trust, Compassion, Stability, and Hope?
- Where might your people most need you to lead with one of these right now?
