Your Strengths in Action report is where your CliftonStrengths® stop being words on a page and start becoming your story. Built around the idea that perspective unlocks possibility, it helps you reframe real moments from your experience; seeing where your strengths showed up and how you put them into action.
What It’s For?
Knowing your themes is one thing; being able to point to a moment and say “here’s exactly how that strength showed up, and here’s the difference it made” is what lands in an interview, a networking conversation, or any time you’re telling your story. This report captures those real examples; plus a superhero or TV/movie character that brings each strength to life in a way people remember.
Use it to:
- Interviews – answer “tell me about a time when…” with specific, strengths-backed stories.
- Networking – describe what you bring in a way that’s vivid and authentic, not generic.
- Telling your story – connect who you are to what you’ve actually done.
Meet Your Strengths as Superheroes
The part that makes this report stick: each of your themes is paired with a superhero whose powers mirror how that strength shows up in you. It’s a vivid, memorable way to picture your talents in action; and a fun, natural way to describe them to others when you’re telling your story.
How to Reframe a Moment
The heart of this report is learning to see your experiences through the lens of your strengths:
- Pick a real moment. Think of a specific experience; a challenge you met, a project you moved, a time you stepped up.
- Name the strength at work. Which of your themes was driving you in that moment? Often more than one.
- See it differently. Reframe the moment around what your strengths made possible. The same story you might have told plainly becomes a clear example of you at your best.
- Find your superhero. The superhero tied to each strength gives you a memorable, shorthand way to describe how that talent shows up.
Getting the Most From It
- Keep your other reports nearby. Your Personal Insights and Brings & Needs reports help you understand why a strength showed up the way it did.
- Bank your stories. Collect a few strong examples you can reach for quickly—so you’re never scrambling for one on the spot.
- Practice out loud. A story you’ve said a few times comes out naturally when it counts.
Reflect As You Work
As you build out your examples, consider:
- What’s a moment you’re proud of, and which strengths made it happen?
- How does naming the strength change the way you tell that story?
- Which superhero captures how a strength feels when you’re using it at full power?
Let’s Keep the Conversation Going
Your story gets sharper every time you tell it—so let’s talk through your examples and how to put them to work.
