Engaging  ·  Interactive  ·  Transformational

Dr. Sobers’ work is built on two original frameworks she created the Resilience Tree™ and Dance of Leadership™ plus CAREfrontation™, my approach to hard conversations.

Each is delivered through trained, research-based methods (CliftonStrengths and Intercultural Communication), so the work is rigorous, not just inspiring.

Every session is customized for your team, department, or organization, and flexes from a single workshop to a keynote to a multi-session series. Find the topics that fit below, then reach out to start the conversation.

How Engagements Work

A simple path, whether you want one session or an ongoing partnership:

  • Discovery call – we talk through your team’s needs and goals
  • Customized design – I tailor the session(s) to your people and context
  • Delivery & follow-up – interactive facilitation, with options to extend the impact

The Resilience Tree™

For teams running on empty. Build resilience that sustains, not just survives.

Resilience reframed from a solo act of endurance into an ecosystem you tend (Roots, Branches, Fruit, and Environment) in ratio to your real risk factors such as managing organizational change.

Built from Dr. Sobers’ year-long qualitative research and her book, The Resilience Tree.

  • Building Resilience in Complex Environments
Thrive in challenging systems: manage self-doubt and imposter syndrome, build confidence, set boundaries, and sustain wellbeing and performance under pressure.
    Format: 1–3 hours
  • Rooted, Not Shaken: Resilience for Aspiring Leaders
The four tenets of the Resilience Tree model, with structured reflection on the components leaders have in place and how mentors, sponsors, and peers can help navigate the risk factors that limit advancement.
    Format: 1–3 hours

“Dr. Sobers’ resilience retreat challenged and shifted my perspective about how I show up as a leader and mentor.

Her scholarship helped me reflect on how my experiences shape the way I support students, especially students of color.

I left with a new sense of possibility about how to transform difficult experiences into more resilient futures for those I mentor.”

Dance of Leadership™

For teams that want to add some movement and fun to their day with some leadership lessons baked in.

Leadership taught through real Latin partnered dance. Trust, communication, followership, and adaptability stop being slides and become something a team experiences in their bodies; lessons they don’t forget at the door.

Based on Dr. Sobers’ TEDx talk, her Leadership Lessons from Dance blog, and 10+ years of being Salsa & Bachata Instructor

Leadership Lessons from Latin Partnered Dance

Leave the PowerPoint behind and get up from your chairs.

A dance lesson (no experience or partner needed) that teaches the foundations of communicating with any partner: a solid base, boundaries, integrity, and the ability to adjust to change.

Format: 90 minutes

“Dr. Sobers’ presentation on leadership through dance was unique, innovative, and highly engaging.

Everyone participated and connected, making it the most impactful session of the day.

Her approach is highly recommended for corporate teams seeking to enhance culture and collaboration.”

CAREfrontation™

For teams who want to navigate communication; learn to hold differnce with care, not avoidance.

Dr. Sobers often says that if someone takes the time to figure out how to have the difficult conversation, to give feedback, to inform you of how you may be perceived or how you can improve that is not them confronting you. It is them showing care because if they didn’t care they would leave you alone. Leaders learn to name what matters before it festers, across difference and working styles.

  • Navigating Conflict & Difficult Conversations
Explore conflict and communication styles, and practice techniques for mediation, communication, compromise, and collaboration. Pairs well in a series with Effective Communication.
    Format: 1–3 hours
  • Effective Communication
Communication styles, active listening, perspective-checking, delegation, running meetings, managing up, and holding people accountable. Pairs well with CAREfrontation.
    Format: 1–4 hours

*Frameworks like the Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI®) and Intercultural Conflict Styles (ICS®) inform actionable strategies to strengthen collaboration and inclusion.

“Every time Dr. Sobers has given a talk to our teams at Owlchemy I have felt like I’ve learned something new.

“I highly recommend Dr. Sobers for CliftonStrengths team development. She explained the strengths in ways that went beyond the report and helped our team understand how to better use each person’s talents to work more effectively together.

Months after our retreat, we still keep our strengths name cards on our desks, which continue to spark conversations across the department.

Dr. Sobers is incredibly personable and creates a space where people feel comfortable reflecting on their strengths and supporting one another.“
